Hello from lockdown three, or four? I can’t even remember. I do know this is the worst one yet, as it’s January, we’re freezing and there’s no end in sight. As I’m writing this I’m wondering if I’ll ever get the chance to get out of my slippers. There are days where I take a look at myself in the mirror and am genuinely terrified by my appearance. Turns out when you’re not seeing other people you don’t care at all what you look like.
With all my free evenings I thought I would pick up my blogging hobby and fill you guys in on what I’m wearing. Mostly it’s leggings or jogging bottoms. In fact, any form of workout gear is great. I go from my ‘day leggings’ to my ‘workout leggings’ and then my ‘pyjama leggings’. The best rotation. I’ve also invested in a pair of Nike Pro leggings, I don’t know who I’m kidding but they cling to all the wrong places and are really inspiring me to exercise.
When I’m not in leggings I’m wearing what can only be described as socially acceptable pyjamas. As it’s been so cold I haven’t stopped wearing jumpers, favouring chunky roll necks and my long cardigans over everything else. The other thing I can’t live without is my puffa coat from NU-IN. It’s a duvet with arms, warmer than anything and actually looks pretty chic for something so practical. I’ve worn this every time I’ve left the house and I wouldn’t have braved the snow without it.
The thought of being stuck in lockdown for another three months is killing me and the reality is that it’s likely to be longer. I don’t think the leggings are helping. I definitely need to make more time to get ready, feel good and to look like my normal self. Clothes are such a big thing for me, I feel better in nice clothes, I have more energy but at the same time, I can’t work from home without being comfy. When the end is in sight I’ll make more effort I’m sure. Or do ‘smart leggings’ exist?
LOVE IT!
Loving the puffa coat!
You look gorgeous
Thank you! The best find of the year x
