Is there any better investment than a blazer? If you’re asking me, the answer is always no. You only have to take one look at my blog to realise just how many I have in my wardrobe. I love them because they go with everything, are effortlessly chic and forever timeless. I wear them as dresses, over dresses, with jeans, leather trousers; literally anything. For me, they’re the most important pieces in my wardrobe and by far my most worn items.
In light of my big obsession, Peacocks asked me to style their new blazer in three different ways. It’s a classic style, black with big buttons and in a longer length that’s really flattering. I decided to create three different looks for different occasions that will take you anywhere so that you’re covered for all bases.
For Everyday
Here’s the deal, you can wear anything under a blazer and it will look put together. The power of tailoring is real! Seriously, I bet even pyjamas would look good, not that I’ve tried it. With that in mind, I chose this outfit to give you maximum comfort for the days when you don’t feel like dressing up. I really can’t express how cosy this jumper is, especially when it’s tucked into stretchy trousers. I’ve been wearing sweatshirts and hoodies under my blazers a lot recently and I like the look, especially when you keep it monochrome. Some simple white trainers will help to pull the outfit together too while being comfy and practical.

For Drinks
There’s something effortless about throwing a blazer over a dress, it’s such a timeless look and a good go-to if you’re stuck for ideas. I instantly fell for this ruffle dress, it’s so pretty and in such a versatile pattern. I popped on a knotted hairband for some Blair Waldorf vibes and some leg-lengthening shoes that are perfect for drinks or dinner with your friends. I also used a belt to fold over the dress so that it worked with the length of the blazer. This is one of my best tips, as sometimes if it’s too long it can look frumpy under the blazer.

For Work
Investing in a blazer is a good idea for any of you who struggle to think of outfits every day. You can layer it over anything and it’ll help to give you more of a workwear vibe while still being a versatile piece in your wardrobe. I think the best advice when shopping for work is to find things you can repurpose at the weekend. This blouse, for example, looks perfect under the blazer but would be just as good tucked into some high waisted jeans at the weekend. I paired this with stretch tailored trousers that are great for sitting at a desk all day and some block heel shoes. These will give you just enough height but are way more comfortable than a kitten heel.
I love blazers! I’ve started to wear them more in my everyday life as well. They’re a nice touch to a street style look 🙂 Love how you styled everything! xx
